SUBMISSION RULES
The Regional Service-Learning Award is open to all public, private or social schools that are developing and conducting Service-Learning of the following countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Romania, Serbia, and Slovakia that cover primary and secondary education levels, and all modalities, which are duly recognized and that are developing Service-Learning educational experiences.
To be eligible, experiences must have been effectively implemented during the school term 2017/18 and 2018/19, and they must have been finished before April 30th, 2020.
All educational experiences shall be submitted by the Regional Service-Learning Award Submission form. The information stated in the form shall be detailed enough so as to fully describe all the aspects of the experience. Institutions shall be able to submit any other material that they deem relevant to better understanding of the experience.
It is an ESSENTIAL requirement that the form submitted is signed and sealed by the school’s Head Authority (or highest level of Non-governmental Institution under whose supervision you have implemented Service-Learning experience). Name and information of the teacher responsible for the experience shall also be stated. The institution’s head authorities shall give specific details of the intended use of the cash prize, if awarded. The prize shall be cashed in materials necessary to developing and implementing of a new Service-Learning project or expanding the submitted experience.
Partner organizations that are part of the CEE SL Network shall distribute the form through education authorities of each jurisdiction, local organizations and mass media on national level. The form is also available on the website of CEE SL Network in languages of participating countries.
Experiences in PDF format and attached supportive materials – evidence, testimonials and indicators that reflect the processes and results that you explain in Submission form (promo material, flyers, posters, video clips, photos, media links, etc.) shall be received from May, 8th 2020 until July, 31st 2020 at email address: cee.sl.award@ioskole.net and shall only be deemed valid when sent by e-mail with indication: “Submission-S-L-name of the country” in the subject of e-mail.
Participation in the Regional Award for successful Service-Learning practice implies the consent to release any information and material submitted, should the institution be among the finalists. Under no circumstances shall forms and attached materials submitted be returned.
AWARD PRIZE
There shall be one-thousand-dollars ($1,000) First Prize, seven-hundred-fifty-dollars ($750) Second Prize and five-hundred-dollars Third Prize ($500) calculated according to the exchange rate on the day of the transaction of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina in local currency (BAM). All three prizes are to be used to further Service-Learning in your communities. Partner organizations from all participating country will provide Honorable Mentions for semifinalists.
The First Award will be given by the end of 2020 in organization of MIOS where all technical and logistical organization of the event will be in accordance to upcoming situation. The winning experiences shall be announced on the website of MIOS, national partners and CEE SL Network page after the ceremony.
All participating schools of the Regional Award for Successful Service-Learning Practice are deemed to agree on the rules of this call, as well as on the decisions of the jury, which shall decide in a single instance, without any reconsideration or appeal whatsoever. All participating experiences that haven’t been selected for the finals will receive feedback letters from Service-Learning experts in order to improve the presented proposals.
